A data handling plan (DHP) or Data Management plan (DMP) is a document that enlists the process of DM for that particular study and their SOPs and another implementation process that we use in managing the clinical data. It documents all the manual checks, Protocol deviations, systems used with versions, coding dictionaries used, and documents any special scenarios that we undertake during the studies. It also details
on Study personnel involved in the study conduction and their role. It provides the information of all third-party vendors and information on what kind of data is expected. It also details blinding methods that would be adopted if the study follows any blinding techniques.
